Bhaskar graduated in mechanical engineering from IIT Madras and completed his PGDBM from IIM Ahmedabad.
Bhaskar began his career in 1978 as a management trainee at Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company. After spending five years with Godrej, he joined Tata. Bhaskar was in Titan since its inception and has engineered the creation of many brands including pioneering the concept of franchising and retailing in watches, jewellery, eyewear, and precision engineering.
Titan has grown to become the largest watch manufacturer in India and the fifth largest in the world. Under Bhaskar’s leadership, the company enlarged its portfolio and has extended its market now to eyewear accessories and fragrances and is exploring sarees.
Bhaskar is on the governing council of TA Pai Management Institute and National Institute of Design. He has been awarded with the Distinguished Alumunus Award at IIT, Madras.
Bhaskar is also the director for Trent, Bosch, Rallis India, Tata SIA (Vistara), Tata Ceramics, and Caratlane.
