TORCH TORCH, Japanese clothing and accessory retailer, announced the Bloodborne Hunter Cosmic Eye Watcher Badge is back in stock. It will cost 26,400 yen or $170. However, unlike the previous release of this replica, it is only available to obtain at the PARCO locations in Shibuya and Shinsaibashi. Which means this re-release is limited to Japan.

The badge itself is made out of silver, whereas the chain it comes with is made of brass. Unlike previous Bloodborne Badge replicas this only comes in one size. That said, it's still fit to wear as a necklace, or any other kind of accessory. The jewel in the center of the pendant is hand cut, with the mold of the badge hand sculpted.

Previous badges created by TORCH TORCH include a Cainhurt Badge, which came in two sizes. It was originally released in 2020. TORCH TORCH has gone on to re-release some of these items, such as the Cosmic Eye Watcher Badge, which originally released in 2022.

The upcoming Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid movie will release in late June 2025. The announcement came from the official website, which also included a few snippets from the voice actors and their thoughts about the upcoming film. It will release on June 27, 2025 in Japan. A worldwide release has yet to be announced.

Alongside the announcement of a release date, Kyoani shared a trailer for the film. It features several short scenes with the main cast and, of course, dragons. The trailer does have English subtitles, which means English speaking audiences can glean what the upcoming movie will be about, which involves the appearance of Kanna's real father.

In 2022, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Burst Forth!! Choro-gon Breath received an English release. This special title was a shoot'em up, or shmup, with the story of the game centered on the characters being sucked into a haunted computer. Purchasing a physical copy of the game provided consumers with a Weiss Schwartz trading card.

For a limited time Sapporo, the Japanese beer brand, will release a series of cans featuring artwork drawn by JoJos' Bizarre Adventure creator, Hirohiko Araki, as part of it's Yebisu Beer line. Consumers will be able to purchase this limited line of Yebisu Beer starting on February 12, 2025. However, the collaboration will strictly be limited to Japan.

Sapporo showed off a total of two Yebisu Beer cans featuring artwork from Araki, which is in the signature style of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Additionally, purchasing a pack of beer will allow for consumers to try their hand at a lottery and win tin coasters featuring the artwork.

The illustrations themselves feature two women in kimono with a tray of Sapporo and an accompanying glass. One can features a woman in an orange kimono, and another in white.

For those looking to purchase merchandise specific to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Japanese clothing brand Graniph announced a collaboration in September 2024. The collection included bags, pants, t-shirts, and jackets. Each of these items features a unique print of more than a handful of characters from the iconic series.

The Hirohiko Araki Yebisu Beer cans will be available in Japan starting on February 12, 2025. Purchases include the opportunity to obtain a set of tin coasters. You can watch JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure on services like Netflix or Crunchyroll.

Consumers can now pre-order a Dragon Ball Daima Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta SH Figuarts from the Premium Bandai website. The figure will cost $60 and is expected to release sometime in October 2025. The Premium Bandai website also states that pre-order could end at an unexpected date, if pre-order exceed the amount of the Vegeta SH Figuarts available.

Alongside several faceplate and other accessories, including a plethora of hand parts, it will also include Galick Gun effect parts. This specific Figurearts features a "chibi" version of Vegeta. In July 2024, Bandai Namco announced the production of Dragon Ball Daima figures of Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo. The announcement included several pictures of the figures for each of the respective characters. The pictures showed that several faceplates would be available for each figure, and a cloth cape would be included with Piccolo.

Japanese animation studio MAPPA announced more Dorohedoro anime is on the way. Five years since the release of the first season, viewers will get a follow up to the series sometime in 2025. More information as to when exactly more Dorohedoro anime will appear in the future. This includes what streaming services the anime could appear on.

The official Dorohedoro website shared that previous staff members will return to work on the anime. Yuichiro Hayashi will return as the Director, and as part of the announcement he released a statement.

It reads as follows:

It's been some time, and we've certainly kept everyone waiting. But Dorohedoro is back! And it'll be even crazier, chaotic, and bloodier than last time! If you haven't seen Dorohedoro yet, don't worry, you'll still have time to catch up. Make sure to watch the previous season before stepping into this chaotic and comical world!

In January 2024, MAPPA announced a sequel anime was in production. A new key visual was shared to celebrate the announcement. The studio shared that new information on the sequel anime would be shared in the future, and it looks like MAPPA finally delivered. However, information as to what streaming service the sequel will appear on has yet to be shared. This will likely be shared sometime in the future, closer to the release.

The first season of Dorohedoro was broadcast on January 12, 2020. The new episodes will release sometime in 2025, with more information to be appear in the future, including what streaming service it will be broadcast on.

The New Year is upon us, and with it another FFXIV Annual Mahjong Tournament. The tournament itself will be held on January 19, 2025 and will feature several special guests. The broadcast itself will be held through Japanese streaming platform NicoNico.

Further details about the FFXIV Annual Mahjong Tournament can be found on the official The Lodestone website. This includes the time the tournament will begin, which is 12PM JST/4AM CET and 10PM ET/7PM PT the day before. So on January 18, 2025.

Special guests include Shinnosuke Tachibana (the Japanese voice for Alphinaud) and Yosuke Saito, Producer for NieR: Replicant. As always, Final Fantasy XIV Producer Naoki Yoshida, also known as Yoshi-P, will attend the broadcast as well. Other staff members that will appear include Hiroshi Takai, Nobuaki Kawamoto, Masaki Nakagawa, and Yosuke Hayashi. Square Enix encourages beginners and veterans of the staple tile game to participate.

In April 2024, Square Enix announced the Mahjong Tournament of that year would be rebroadcast, giving viewers and players another opportunity to view it. Special guests for 2024 included Yasumi Matsuno, of Final Fantasy Tactics fame, with Yosuke Saito appearing as well.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X.

Sound Director and Composer for Final Fantasy XIV Masayoshi Soken has taken to X (formerly known as Twitter) to address rumors about past performances of The Primals being removed from Japanese website AMEBA. In the statement, he warns viewers to be wary of any potential rumors or any incorrect information that could be floating around concerning the removal of those videos.

However, despite this several comments on X are confused about the approach of how the issue is being handled. One particular question asks why the official Final Fantasy XIV social accounts, or the website, aren't the ones clearing up the misunderstanding. Further on in the chain, the user that brought up the inquiry states that the video in question is still available to watch through the PC version of AMEBA.

On January 4, 2024 Kenny Omega announced both Soken and Final Fantasy series Composer Nobuo Uematsu collaborated on a new theme song for the wrestling star. Additionally, Jason Charles Miller, who provided vocals for several songs in Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, will be lending his talents once again for this track.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.

McDonald's has shared another Neon Genesis Evangelion commercial as part of it's collaboration with the IP. However, unlike the previous commercial, this one reuses scenes from the anime and does not feature the uniquely designed EVA Unit. The commercial was published on X, also formerly known as Twitter.

The collaboration began on January 6, 2025, with the initial announcement appear in late December 2024. This included a look at a special EVA Unit, UNIT-M, which features the signature colors of the fast food chain, gold and red. The collaboration menu will include the Mexican Cheese Chicken Sandwich, he Hash Brown and Beef Burger with Garlic Mayo, and the Double Teriyaki Cheeseburger.

Alongside the release of collaboration items, a series of special toys will be available to obtain via a lottery system. This includes toys based on the EVA models for Shinji, Rei, and Asuka. However, these are a limited run item, and will be available until January 10, 2025. Which means consumers have four days to potentially grab one, if they're lucky enough. The toys can be purchased through the McDonald's app, and are exclusive to Japan.

The official Zoids X account (formerly known as Twitter) announced the production of a Zoids Trinity Liger new model. Pre-orders are set to open soon, with the release slated sometime in 2025. More information about the figure will appear in the future.

As mentioned previously, this is a Liger model, which is red with white detailing and an emerald green gem fixed in the center of the head. This model looks significantly different from the Liger Zero. Pre-orders will open up sometime in 2025, with the model itself expected to ship within the same year.

In June 2024, Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions announced a project for the 25th anniversary of the Zoids anime. Alongside this, various pop-up shops appeared throughout 2024 selling unique Zoids related merchandise. This included acrylic stands and keychains. A collaboration was also held with Japanese restaurant chain Wendy’s First Kitchen.

In December 2024, the Zoids series and Medabots began a collaboration. It will run through January 2025. This features a release of three Zoids inspired Medabots in the mobile game Medabots S.

The Zoids Trinity Liger model will release sometime in 2025. Pre-orders for the model will open soon.

The Rebuild of Evangelion films, which offer a different take on the story, began airing in Japan in 2007 with Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo appeared in 2009 and 2012. Warcraft is what put Blizzard Entertainment on the map. Yes, there is Diablo, and there was Starcraft, but Warcraft is what almost everyone knows the studio for. Since the Warcraft series transitioned into an MMORPG through World of Warcraft, it's humble beginnings as an RTS, and RPG, has gone otherwise forgotten. Unless, of course, you're really deep into the lore of World of Warcraft. Blizzard Entertainment has brought all three entries to PC through the Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest, which is arguably the best way to play these games.

As the first entry in the series, the original Warcraft is pretty simple. It's your bog-standard RTS with base building mechanics that requires you to build up your army to defeat the invading horde of Orcs, or Humans that bar your path. You pick one of two factions and play through their scenario, which isn't anything riveting, as Blizzard Entertainment more or less expanded upon the narrative elements of these RTS games in Warcraft II. Once again, the conflict is centered around the Orcs and Humans, with the types of units you can train expanded upon. They're solid, but not all that engaging in terms of story.

While the first two Warcraft games didn't leave a particularly strong impression on me, it was Warcraft III that pulled me in, hook, line, and sinker. On that note, I would say the Warcraft Battle Chest is worth the price just for access to Warcraft III and The Frozen Throne expansion. The original release of Warcraft III Reforged was far from contentious, with it being disliked to such a staggering degree it was one of the lowest rated games on Metacritic. Thankfully, the game has been updated to allow for players to toggle off any HD effects, character models, and environments. While it doesn't solve all of the problems that many familiar with the classic version of the game may have (such as multiplayer adjustments, and so forth), it's a great way to access a classic.

Dipping my toes back into Warcraft III reminded me just how influential the game was. Blending the RTS with an RPG made me more invested in tackling optional quests and obtaining items to make my heroes more powerful. Outside of the general base building and upgrading units through incremental upgrades, tackling camps of enemies on the map help level up your hero units, making them more powerful as you carry them through the narrative. In this case, Arthas Menethil, the doomed Prince of Lordaeron and soon-to-be Lich King. His story, along with the others tied to him, still remain compelling. Certain changes, however, are less than welcome; specifically The Culling of Stratholme.

This mission has been gamified to such an extent that it removes the intention of the original in making the genocide of an entire village more "engaging" through new mechanics, which misses the entire point of the mission itself. It's changes like this that do end up making Warcraft III Reforged a worse version of the original. But the bones of Warcraft III itself are still there, and it's no surprise that this title specifically would go on to inspire Defense of the Ancients, or DotA, (which was a multiplayer mod I actually played) and League of Legends.

The narrative Blizzard Entertainment managed to craft in the early 2000's is still great, and for those looking to start World of Warcraft, playing Warcraft III almost feels essential. I won't lie that a lot of my fondness for the series is filtered through a lens of nostalgia. I love Warcraft because of memories of being hunkered down in the basement of a LAN party, building up my Night Elves to send my saber-riding huntresses into the fray against the horde of my friend's Orc army. And now that I'm deeply into World of Warcraft, I look back on the series with a greater sense of fondness, now able to parse through lore that I otherwise never really got a chance to sift through as I was a bit too young to really play those first two entries when they came out.

It's impossible to deny the impact the Warcraft series has had on the industry at large. Warcraft propelled Blizzard Entertainment into what success it would later experience in World of Warcraft, showcasing what the studio was capable of early on. It reminded me an era where Blizzard's name was spoken with the same reverence as Square in terms of the cinematics and storytelling a studio was capable.

But even with this to consider, the Warcraft Battle Chest isn't perfect. The new sprites for Warcraft and Warcraft II are something to be desired, and despite the influence Warcraft III had on video games, sometimes certain missions are kind of a drag, or have lost their original impact through certain gameplay changes. The new, revamped visuals aren't all that great, but since the option to revert them in the case of Warcraft III is there, I can't be too pressed about it either.

However, the Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest is the best way to access all three of these titles. And I still think, that even in 2024, it's more than worth giving them a try. It's one of the best RTS series of all time, and even now they manage to hold up as some of the best. But definitely temper your expectations, because while the box might say remaster, these are more or less actually just ports with a few glossy (or muddy) coats of paint on them.

Ahead of it's 2025 release, Studio Trigger has shared a new Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt trailer. This includes a look at characters that will be returning for this new season, and a brief interview with the voice talents.

While the new trailer only features the Japanese voice cast, the video does have English subtitles. Each member of the cast more or less hypes up the new season, stating that it's "got punch" and will prove to be an exciting time for new and returning viewers.

On December 18, 2024 Studio Trigger revealed more information would be shared concerning the new season of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. And this trailer certainly has a plethora of info. This includes who will direct the series, which is Imaishi Hiroyuki, with Nishigori Atsushi serving as the Original Character Designer. Nishigori is previously credited with creating designs for Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The official website also features information on the cast, with small blurbs about the characters available to read. It also features a piece of key art for the upcoming season, which is slated to release sometime in 2025.

Logitech will release a series of Genshin Impact mouse models featuring Heizou, Sayu, and Thoma in January 2025. Each mouse will cost 5,720 yen or around $36. The mice are part of the Logitech G304 LIGHTSPEED series. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

These mice are only available to purchase at select stores, which does include the Logitech Official Online Store. This means that the Heizou, Sayu, and Thoma mouse models can be purchased online. This marks the second Genshin Impact and Logitech collaboration, with the first featuring Kamisato Ayaka.

Additionally, if consumers purchase any one of the three mice and the Kamisato Ayaka model, they will receive a special Ayaka themed notebook, keychain, and acrylic stand. However, the Ayaka mouse model is from the Logitech G309 series.

That said, if you choose to purchase any one of these new mice, you will receive a special themed box that features the same character on whatever mouse you've decided to purchase. The mice will also come with a two year warranty.

Genshin Impact is available entirely for free on PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. The Genshin Impact Sayu, Thoma, and Heizou mouse models will be available to purchase on January 23, 2025.

Japanese figure manufacturer Kaiyodo announced it will produce a Danmachi Hestia Revoltech figure. However, a frame of release or exact release date was not disclosed. More information will appear in the future, according to Kaiyodo. The announcement itself was revealed on the official Kaiyodo X account (formerly known as Twitter).

This isn't the first time Danmachi will receive some kind of merchandise. In November 2024, it was announced a series of themed perfumes based on characters from Danmachi, or Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon, would be released in mid-December 2024.

This included fragrances for Hestia, Bell, Ryu, Syr, and Welf. Each fragrance was made to encapsulate the character that inspired it, with the Hestia perfume including more floral notes, such as iris and lily of the valley. These perfumes were previously available for pre-order, but can now be purchased for a limited time at participating retailers in Japan.

Danmachi, or Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon was available to stream via Crunchyroll. However, it has since been removed from the streaming service as of March 2022.
